If you spend five minutes driving around Des Arc, Arkansas, you’ll probably notice something pretty quickly:

Another national used-car study found that the F-150 alone accounted for about 3.6% of Arkansas' 1-to-5-year-old used vehicle market in its 2025 analysis.

Trucks offer towing and hauling capability while today's higher trims can also offer leather interiors, large touchscreens, driver-assistance technology and luxury features that would've seemed impossible in a work truck twenty years ago.
And Arkansas' overall vehicle market strongly favors larger vehicles. State registration data reported in 2026 showed that light trucks accounted for roughly 88% of Arkansas' new retail car and light-truck registrations during the first quarter of the year.
That category is broader than pickups—it also includes SUVs and other light trucks—but it demonstrates just how far Arkansas buyers have moved away from traditional passenger cars.
